1 Corinthians 13:6

does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;

This one seems pretty simple.  No hiding or evading the truth!  If ya love someone, do not lie to them.  Simple, easy, done.

    YOu must have God in your heart to be able to do this because as you said,"It goes against our nature and natural instincts". Then we get back to unconditional love. A good cross reference is ICor 10:24.
